Market Research Statistician - Junior Analyst
Run high-end analysis on survey data in a wide variety of industries.
MS or BS degree in statistics, econometrics, marketing science or similar background. BS degree only requires very strong quantitative training in statistical analysis
Proficiency with statistical software such as SAS/SPSS. Other useful skills include R, CART, Statistica, computer programming.
Estimation and setup of experimental designs
Hands on development of predictive models using linear or logistic regression. Other useful techniques: discriminant analysis, segmentation/cluster analysis, decision trees, factor analysis, and database/data mining.
Ability to use standard office programs Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Understanding of discrete choice models is beneficial. We are one of the best companies in the world at HB choice modeling, and any analyst will receive extensive training on conjoint and discrete choice methods. Software examples: SAS-Proc MDC, Sawtooth-CBC, R-bayesm.
Excellent communication skills. A statistical analyst at the Modellers will work with other internal teams and will have opportunities to consult with clients via e-mail, phone calls and in-person presentations. Analysts also review and contribute to proposals, surveys and reports regularly.
Software Developer:
Join the leading market research firm as we develop a new software application that will be a key driver for company growth. We are seeking an experienced software developer capable of making a variety of major contributions to this new effort.
In this role, you will design, implement and test major portions of a new market estimation software system using C#.Net, object-oriented methods, state of the art analytical methods, and software development best practices. Opportunities exist to contribute significantly to architecture, UI design, domain logic, or data access, depending on the candidate’s extensive proven success in those areas in large-scale enterprise software systems. Growth opportunities also exist to expand your skills in these areas and in development best practices. The successful candidate may also contribute to day-to-day development of existing client and internally used software applications.

Qualifications
Education
- BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or Physics
Experience

Assist senior project management/client service team members as a Project Manager. The PM is involved with all phases of the quantitative full-service custom market research process, including writing proposals, bidding projects, writing questionnaires, checking online questionnaires, managing projects in field and writing reports. (excluding analytics functions)
Desired Experience/Background & Education
Experienced: Minimum 1 – 2 years direct experience in these specific areas in a full-service marketing research firm
Firm understanding of the executional components of a full-service quantitative marketing research project
Academic or practical experience with applied research in the social sciences
Quantitatively-oriented, with strong verbal and written communication skills
Self-motivated and directed, with a desire to learn and progress within the firm
Strong attention to detail
