Customer Service Vice President

The Modellers, an innovative and fast-growing research firm headquartered in Salt Lake City, is interviewing for a demanding and rewarding business development VP position. We are looking for a self-starter who can build and manage his or her own business and work well with our focused team. You need to be skilled in sales, management, and business consulting. Responsibilities:

Required Experience and Skills:

Significant and impactful business development experience working in research, marketing and/or business consulting, ideally with exposure to advanced statistics and modeling.

Marketing Research Statistician
Run high-end analysis on survey data in a wide variety of industries.

Successful candidate will have 0-3 years of experience.

Minimum Bachelor’s degree in statistics, econometrics, marketing science or similar quantitative field. Master’s degree strongly preferred.

Proficiency with statistical packages such as SPSS, SAS, S-Plus, R or others. Must know standard office programs well: Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

Experience in the development of predictive models using a variety of modeling techniques including regression, clustering/segmentation, discriminant analysis, etc.

Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Most of our work is done via e-mail and telephone since our clients span the globe. We also draft proposals, surveys and reports regularly so good writing skills are a must.

 

Software Developer
Join the leading market research firm as we develop a new software application that will be a key driver for company growth. We are seeking an experienced software developer capable of making a variety of major contributions to this new effort.

In this role, you will design, implement and test major portions of a new market estimation software system using C#.Net, object-oriented methods, state of the art analytical methods, and software development best practices. Opportunities exist to contribute significantly to architecture, UI design, domain logic, or data access, depending on the candidate’s extensive proven success in those areas in large-scale enterprise software systems. Growth opportunities also exist to expand your skills in these areas and in development best practices. The successful candidate may also contribute to day-to-day development of existing client and internally used software applications.

Education

Senior Research Director
The Modellers is looking for a smart, dedicated, and nice person to join us as Senior Research Director. We know our biggest asset is our people – that, combined with our modeling expertise, is why clients come back to us.

Primary Focus
The Senior Research Director (SRD) works closely with client service professionals to understand clients’ business needs and deliver insights that can help them make good business decisions. As the highest level of project management at The Modellers, this position requires excellent organizational and communication skills. This person manages day-to-day communication with clients and directs the efforts of project teams, which may include a methodologist, analyst, software developer, and junior project management staff, as well as data collection vendors. Specific responsibilities also include writing proposals, bidding projects, writing questionnaires, checking online surveys, managing data collection, and using The Modellers’ proprietary simulation and reporting tools to prepare insightful reports.

Desired Experience/Background & Education
Experience: Minimum 6 years direct experience in project management at a full-service marketing research firm Solid understanding of the executional components of full-service quantitative marketing research projects, including research design, data collection, and analysis Academic or practical experience with applied research in the social sciences Quantitatively-oriented, with strong verbal and written communication skills Self-motivated and directed, with a desire to learn and progress within the firm Strong attention to detail. Strong competency in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel Familiarity with SPSS or SAS a plus.

Project Manager (Entry Level)
We are looking for smart, dedicated, and nice people to join us at entry level Project Manager positions at The Modellers, a high-end analytics and quant, predictive modeling full-service market research group. We will train the selected person in this position. We know our biggest asset is our people – that, combined with our modeling expertise, is why clients come back to us.

Primary Focus
You will be trained to assist senior project management/client service team members with all phases of the quantitative full-service custom market research process, including writing proposals, bidding projects, writing questionnaires, checking online questionnaires, managing projects in field and writing reports.

Helpful Experience/Background & Education
Some understanding of the executional components of a full-service quantitative marketing research project
Academic or practical experience with applied research in the social sciences
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Self-motivated and directed, with a desire to learn and progress within the firm
Strong attention to detail
Strong competency in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Familiarity with SPSS a plus
