ACADEMIC-INDUSTRY BAYESIAN SUMMIT

The Modellers annual summit with leaders from academia was held in Salt Lake City February 26-28. This year’s Summit was attended by Professor Greg Allenby from The Ohio State University, Professor Peter Lenk from Michigan, Tim Gilbride from Notre Dame, Thomas Otter from Goethe University Frankfurt, Sandeep Chandukala, Indiana, Qing Liu, University of Wisconsin, Jaewan Kim, Korean University, Jeff Dotson, Ohio State, Tatiana Yumasheva, Ohio State, and Sanghak Lee, Ohio State. During the Summit, breakthroughs in experimental design for choice models, a new model that gets at source-of-volume (the cross probit), and a new methodology that could revolutionize choice modelling, decision field theory conjoint were discussed.
