Laura Kippen, Ph.D.
SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT |
Laura has nearly 20 years of custom market research, strategic and tactical planning, consulting, and teaching experience spanning a wide range of industries. Her areas of research expertise include both quantitative and qualitative methods in support of new product development, branding, positioning, segmentation, forecasting, customer and employee satisfaction, loyalty, retention, and concept.
She began her career working as senior methodologist and statistician for a health care research company specializing in employee and patient satisfaction, customer value measurement, benchmarking, and clinical outcomes assessment for health plans, hospitals, and other health care providers. In this capacity she conducted extensive research in, among other things, survey measurement, instrumentation, and modeling. Laura’s research has influenced national surveys, including the NCQA Annual Member Health Care Survey and National Consumer Assessment of Health Plan Survey (CAHPS).
Laura has directed the quantitative research departments for several research companies where she was responsible for expanding research capabilities, maintaining research quality and integrity, and new business development. It was at these organizations that she gained experience in various industries including pharmaceuticals and biotechnology, hospital and surgical products, financial services, consumer packaged goods, leisure, hospitality and food service, and high tech. She has worked with several client companies including Aventis, Janssen Pharmaceutica, Takeda, TAP, Hoffmann-La Roche Global, Roche Laboratories, Stericycle, Brinker International, Nationwide Financial, Public Employees Retirement System of Ohio, Canon, Manpower, Royal Caribbean International, AARP, and Caterpillar.
Laura received her Ph.D. degree from The Ohio State University with primary emphasis in experimental economics, statistics, consumer behavior and marketing.
