Matthew Poulton received his undergraduate degree in Statistics from BYU in 2005. As part of his education, Matthew served as the Committee Co-chair of the Sampling Design Team for the 2004 KBYU Exit Poll. He later won Best Presentation for the research he presented on the Exit Poll at BYU’s Mathematics and Sciences Spring Research Conference. Since graduating from BYU, Matthew has worked as a Market Research Statistical Analyst and SAS Programmer. For the past year and a half, Matthew has worked as a Market Research Statistical Analyst for the Modellers. His interests also include social marketing and online entrepreneurship. Matthew’s education and experience cover statistical topics in Choice Modeling, Sampling, Statistical Programming, Segmentation, Ridge Regression, Logistic Regression , TURF Analysis, Van Westendorp Analysis, and Discriminant Analysis. He has experience in the SAS, R, SPSS, Excel, and Perl environments. Outside of work, Matthew loves to be in the Utah mountains. He spends his summers trail running, hiking, camping, rock climbing, and has recently picked up the hobby of mountain unicycling. Matthew is an avid tennis player and is headed to the 2009 USTA National Championships in Arizona. Other interests include skiing, softball, reading, and lifting weights. He is also involved in a local non-profit micro service group called Generation Service which trains teenagers to be future leaders in service. |
